Thank you for visiting the Victoria Canada Day website. 2017 is a significant year as Canada turns 150!
To commemorate Canada’s Sesquicentennial, SPIRIT OF 150 VICTORIA is being held over the period of 11 days,
from June 21 – July 1, 2017. There will be free outdoor events in the Inner Harbour every single day. Cultural offerings will complement and align with key dates such as National Aboriginal Day on June 21, La Célébration de la Francophonie Canadienne on June 24, Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27, and culminates in the activities and fireworks on Canada Day.
Please visit the SPIRIT OF 150 VICTORIA website for more details.
Victoria Celebrates Canada Day Presented by
Victoria Celebrates Canada Day presented by Coast Capital Savings will be back with a great lineup of family-friendly events, two performance stages, and our annual fireworks display over the Inner Harbour, all set to take place on July 1st, 2016!
This year we are excited to present Mother Mother, George Leach, Radio Radio, and more as a part of our live music entertainment. Check out our artists page for full details on the day’s performers.
Once again we’re committed to our ongoing green initiative, so expect to see the Canada Day Team Green out in full force keeping our beautiful Inner Harbour clean. Keeping with the green theme, the free bike valet service offers a safe place to lock up bikes for all who wish to leave their cars at home. Also, be sure to drop by Ship’s Point to check out A Flavour of Canada Day in its new location!
The Victoria Celebrates Canada Day fireworks are set to take place July 1st at 10:20pm. Tune in to our media partners at The Zone @ 91.3 or 100.3 The Q! for a live feed with accompanying music.
And not to worry, the Coast Capital Living Flag will be back on the BC Legislature Lawns early in the afternoon of July 1st – we’ll have 1500 red and white shirts to hand out, so make sure to come early, or feel free to bring your own!
